교수 및 교실소개

The laboratory broadly studies the molecular mechanisms involved in vascular function and dysfunction in health and disease like hypertension and Atherosclerosis, specially focussing on mitochondrial and endothelial cell dysfunction.

The target molecules in our studies are Cr6-interacting factor 1 (CRIF1), Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH2), p66shc and Sirt1 etc.

The minor area of research is Keloid pathogenesis and breast cancer.

The lab currently has open positions for highly motivated student who have an interest in molecular signaling and biology as it pertains to the vasculature.

Scientific Projects

: Korea Research Fellowship (KRF)

- Expand global network and increase research diversity by attracting new overseas researchers

- Development of a growth support system so that overseas new researchers can stay in Korea for long-term stays and create excellent results by attracting new researchers from overseas during the most active research activities

: Global PhD Fellowship (GPF)

- Provides research scholarships to help outstanding Korean graduate students immerse themselves in academic and research, laying the groundwork for nurturing a global level of doctoral manpower

- Encouraging excellent students to go on to graduate school in Korea, strengthening research competitiveness of domestic graduate schools and nurturing them into global graduate schools
